Bar lines/time signature

Hi
I have tried everything now to make a score without time signature and bar lines, but I simply can't remove the bar lines. I have looked in "help" and done what it suggests, but I can't find "staff properties in my version 2.1.0. Revision: 871c8ce. I am running it on a Mac.
if somebody have a solution, I would be really grateful.
