saved file disappeared

Using current version of Musescore on Mac OS X 10.6.5 auto saved score, then saved to "desk top", then moved file to documents, at which time it became an alias and will not let me revert to the original. Is there any way to find the original score? Please help--it was days of work. Thanks.

You created an alias and then delete the original file on your desktop ? If yes, the file is likely lost...

Maybe two hopes :

  1. Check your trash can. If you deleted your file, MacOSX should have put it in the trash can
  2. If there is nothing in your trash can, try to go to your HOME and then Library/Application Support/MusE/MuseScore/ where you can find MSCZ files. One of them could be yours.
