How to get grace notes in previous bar?!?

It's quite clear to me how to add grace notes to a note, but somehow I cannot manage to get those grace notes into the previous bar. I uploaded "Arietta" by Grieg to show an example of this problem. There is a distinct interpretation difference between putting the grace notes just before the first note of the bar - WITHIN that same bar, or having the previous bar end with grace notes that should come slightly before the first beat of the new bar.

I hope I get my point across, as Dutch is my native language.. In the Dutch forum, nobody is replying...
