Shortcut to Text element types
It would be wonderful if a user could make his/her own shortcuts to the different textual styles for quick type into the score.
Examples:
Select a note and...
...Alt + S = create a text with predefined style and position for inStrument change
...Alt + X = create a text with predefined style and position for eXpression marks
...Alt + E = create a text with predefined style and position for tEmpo
...Alt + C = create a text with predefined style and position for teChnique marks
...Alt + D = create a text with predefined style and position for Dynamic marks
-- subcategory to that: ...Alt + p f m s z r = gives dynamic stylised text.
I recommend these shortcuts which can be achieved by keeping hand at the same position at the keyboard (left hand, left side). Particularly it is important with very often used text styles (technique, expression, stylised dynamics).
"Alt + [something]" could also be defined by user.
As for "expression" and "technique" marks, those are both just staff text now, but these are different styles. Therefore it would be good to have it differentiated, with easy shortcut entry.

I second this. It might be more complicated than that initial proposal, though, in consideration of https://musescore.org/en/node/113381. For example, I can imagine the style for Staff Text actually being replaced by Technique in the future (perhaps still called staff text in the UI, but avoiding a redundant style).

It's not just text *style*. Staff text is a different type of element from dynamics or tempo or instrument change etc - dfferent semantics entirely as far as how they affect playback, multiple staves, linked staves, multimeasure rests, etc. That's why these are different element types, not just different text styles. We need shortcuts for each of these text types, creating an element of the corrct type, which will of course automatically have the correct style for that element type.
