Solo Section
Hey, im writing a score with an improvised solo in it (smooth by santana, should be awesome) but because its completly improvised its annoying to just have 10 blank bars, so a feature that should be added is the ability to mark an improvised solo section such as (solo x10) so its all grouped together.

The normal way to notate this is with slash notation - select the bars are use Edit / Tools / Fill With Slashes. Depending on the context, you can also leave them empty and then use multimeasure rests (press "M" to toggle these on and off), but that's not really recommended.
And don't forget the chords!!! The slashes mark the beats, but, even if it IS improvised, a guy's gotta know what the rest of the band is doing to not just make noise (unless you're a supremely talented free jazz group that is :-) )
