lost play panel

Moved play panel too far down on screen months ago and and it disappeared .. can't recover.
icon displays checked, but play panel doesn't activate.
Handbook says reset to factory defaults, but check forums (for problems) before doing.
would it be better to delete and reload entire MS2 program?
