Choir notation closed score
If you want to notate just one choir in a closed score you can choose "SATB closed score" as a pregiven option. But can you please add "Soprano/Alto" and "Tenore/Basso" to the instrument list. I would like to have this option for double choir pieces (like "Veni, veni, venias" from Carl Orff´s "Carmina Burana").
Would it be possible to integrate this in your next version?

You can easily create yourself this score, then add it for reuse in the templates folder.
I guess you want this result? : SATB.mscz
Right click on an empty spot of a staff (or on the long/short instrument name), then in 'Staff Properties' you can change the long/short names to whatever you prefer: Soprano-Alto-Tenore-Basso.mscz

Thanks for your arrangement to help, but I would like to have another result.
I do not want just one choir, i want two choirs (each SATB) in closed scores.
And thatfor I would like to create "Soprano/Alto" and "Tenore/Basso" as instruments I can choose from the Instrument list with the correct pitch range. I want to have a way to edit the Instrument list.
I do not want to have a Soprano staff called "Soprano/Alto". I know that I can change the staff names. I want to have a professional solution.

You can edit the Instruments.xml file in a text editor such as WordPad (depending on your OS, and how experienced you are at that sort of thing). If you're on Windows 7, for instance, you will find that file in C:\\Program files (x86)\MuseScore2\instruments.
On the other hand, it would probably be easier to create exactly the score setup that you want one time, doing it manually using the 'Choose Instruments' template, and then save that as a custom template that you can call whenever you need it. Orff's Carmina Burana is one of my favourite pieces, but it is not typical of most choral pieces. It is not likely there are sufficient use-cases for this particular arrangement of choral staves to justify making it a standard template.

There is literally no difference between changing the properties (name, range) of a regular staff and having an entry for this not-really-an-instrument in the instruments list. There would be no difference whatsoever. Just do the name change and all will be well. And as mentioned, if you plan to do this more than once, jsut create a template. But indeed, you can also edit the instrument list as described above.

Well, there would be a difference in the future if the instrument was predefined.
It may be it would be a good idea to include these in the instruments list out of the box. One thing that I would be uncertain of is what MusicXML ID to give them. ChurchOrganist, if you're reading this, would you mind weighing in?
