how to get audio to play through bluetooth/HDMI devices?
This is probably a very easy fix so I apologize if i'm overlooking something obvious. But I can't understand why I can't get sound to play through my TV speakers when I attach via an HMDI or through bluetooth.
It's not a system preferences setting (everything else plays fine - only musescore doesn't)
I've searched around but come up empty - any help would be appreciated! It's a Vizio TV and a Macbook Pro but assuming that doesn't matter and it's just something simple like selecting output audio source (can't find that option...)

You may need to make the corresponding change in the I/O section of MuseScore's Preferences, and/or restart MuseScore for the changes to take effect.
thanks - that's where I looked but I don't see what to do there. I don't know what "JACK audio server" means, is that it?
Otherwise there is just a box (already checked) for "PortAudio" and the only option would be to change the "Built-in Output" option to "Built-in microphone" which isn't what i'm trying to do.

Hmm. If you don't see the same device that you set in System Preferences, did you try restarting MuseScore?
If your system audio is playing through the TV, make sure you've selected a built-in option in that I/O Port Audio panel, apply it, then quit and restart MuseScore.
I currently have system audio playing through my bt speaker, PortAudio is set to built-in Microphone (no idea why), and my Muse audio is coming through the bt speaker. Remember you can also opt-click on the speaker in the menu bar to change your output selection.
Hope this helps.

It was a restart issue - I apologize. Mods can delete!
