Intuitivity & Features for Rock Bands (Guit. Bass & Drums)
Here's a copy-paste from an e-mail I sent. I was asked to post it here so developers can have acces to it too :)
"Hi Musescore Team!
Wow! I'm so happy you took the time to reply! :D
As you are asking what would be the number one feature that's missing in Musescore currently, I would go with developpement with the guitarist/bassist side of things. I think there's a lot of work that has been put into making a very wrokable system for them, but my biggest issue really is that I don't get to convince my friends to leave guitar pro since they find their system to be much more efficient.
So actually, it's not a flaw that I'm personnally missing, but I would love if I could argue with them and convince them that Musescore can do just as well. So, maybe I can give you a list of small details that I have recieved from friends:
A) Intuitivity of adding tabs to a score, especially with non-standard tunings and numbers of strings
B) Possibility of hidding tabs and standard notation independently without having to delete it (that one comes from me, and as I'm scoring a lot, I'd like to be able to hide the tabs and show them only when I'm really working the parts. As a non guitarist, they are not of much use for myself, but that would allow guitarists to work on my sheets without me having to deal with extra lines 24/7)
C) Key/shortcut to transfer a note from/to another string (that's a comment that I recieved, I was told that it makes it MUCH harder to work with). Maybe there's already a function that I don't know of that does that, and if so I would definitely like to know it :)
D) I realised just today that I had a choice of electric guitar sounds in the mixer. I was about to talk about it missing, but I'll then go with the fact that changing instrument isn't really intuitive.
E) Maybe this one is not applicable because I haven't tested, but it it possible to add specific indications directly to the tabs? Like slides, etc? That might be a point guitar pro does better as it's super easy to do. (Though, let's all agree that it's pretty limited to that...)

Thanks for your comments! Maybe you are not aware, but pretty much everything on your lsit is already possible. So maybe you just need help finding how to use the existing features.
A) Tabs are added easily using keybaord or mouse or by adding notes in standard notation and having a linekd tab staff that calculates reaosnable tabs for you automatically. Non-standard tunings and string configurations are handled via Staff Properties (available when you right click a staff).
B) Staves can be hidden via the isntruments list - Edit / Instruments.
C) The shortcut to move a note to another string is Ctrl+Up/Down
D) Keep in mind that MsueScore is first and foremost a tool for creating printed music for human musicians to read. If you wish a human musician to change sounds at some point in the score, you need to incldue a piece of text at that point to tell him this. So this is exactly how you tell MuseScore's internal playback to do this as well. Add the "Instrument" text from the Text palette and you can then edit the text to whatever you want, and use either the mxier or the Change Instrument command to also change the playback.
E) MuseScore supports a ful set of markings, including slides, bends, and many others. See the palettes at the left of the screen.
About C/ you can select a fret number on the tab and use Ctrl + Arrow up /down to move it to another string without changing the pitch.
E/ there are a couple of guitar technics available in the palette. You can use a glissando for slides. In articulations, you can find bends and tremolo bar.
About A/ and D/, suggestions are welcome.
About C, there is a feature request already #121271: Make "Visible" checkbox in Instruments dialog available for individual staves within an instrument
Thank you for your great article!

The feature request is about B.

Yes. I created the issue that Nicolas mentioned, but it is indeed 'B' in the OP's letter.
