Setting up 2 part, one stave music.
Hi-
I am a newbie with MuseScore 2.0. I have searched the handbook on how to set up classical/acoustic guitar music with two parts on one treble clef stave, and am having trouble finding the correct info. I tried George Hess' video, when we get to the point using the keyboard shortcut to create the second voice, (1:45) he can't find the shortcut, and then manually sets up the second part without explaining what he just did. I can't even get the green line in the video to display on my document. So this needs to be clarified, please.

Can anyone help me with this? How do I create a second voice?
Also, on my computer I can't get a note to repeat by using the R key as detailed in the online manual.

Adding additional voices to a single staff can be a bit daunting, but for those instruments which accept this, the basic procedure is as follows:
1. Enter the notes for Voice 1.
2. Exit note entry mode by typing ESC or clicking on a blank part of the score.
3. Click on the first note in the section to which you wish to add a second voice.
4. Type 'N' to re-enter note-entry mode.
5. Click on '2' in the lower toolbar below the main menu.
6. Enter the notes for your second voice.
For subsequent voices (i.e., voices 3 and 4), repeat the above procedure, but click on the appropriate voice icon in the toolbar.

Thanks for your help on this issue. I'm now able to score in two parts.
Now, how would I add guitar left hand fingering numbers, circled string indicators, and barre chord designations over the staff? They would have to look like this -

What you want--according to the example you posted--is a tablature staff. This is easy using Musescore: Type 'I' to bring up the Instruments dialogue, then click on the guitar staff you have already created in the right-hand panel).
Now click on "Add Linked Staff", then click on the staff type as shown below and select the type of tablature staff you want to use.

Click OK to add the linked staff. Your score will now contain TWO guitar staves which are linked to each other--a standard staff and a tablature staff (which automatically writes in tab notation what you've written in standard notation).

The "R" key requires you first select a region to repeat, unless you are in note input mode, in which case it repeats the note or chord you just entered.

About the barre chord, use the Text line (in the Lines palette), with the " VII----| " by default:
