A feature which would be very useful is a "minor 7 b5" or "half diminished" symbol.

It is convention in jazz circles to use a small circle in a superscript position with a line through it. I use a line that goes down from left to right although I have seen right to left. It would take up so much less realestate!

Great software getting better!
That could even be your tagline for the rebranding effort I was reading about.
Best of luck.

On further thought, the other great realestate saver is a 7 inside a circle (in Superscript position) for a major 7.

These are both jazz conventions.

Best regards.

I tried it.
Again, my dissatisfaction with the result is the very small size of the superscript.

I would REALLY value the ability to vary the size of the superscript. I basically find it unusable as it is.

One thing I like about the harmonic pallette is that when I write, for example, Bbm7, usually all the characters stay large, unfortunately only on one level, but much more legible.

Regards.

Thanks for that. I will look at it..

It is a much less used symbol in the hundreds of charts I've looked at, but it has been used and I will use it.

Regards.

I agree that for jazz purposes the superscripts are way too small. You should be able to read the changes with the score lying on the ground because often that is the only music stand around

THere is what I would call a bug in the Harmonic Pallette.

I select a complete symbol: Ab Major 7, for example. When I finish entering the symbol and close the box, I then move out of the box where the symbol shows up on the score, It is a crap shoot as to whether or not the b sign and the 7 will remain large or revert to a very small script, To fix this, I have to go back to the harmonic pallette, select the symbols again, and they may stay large this time.

Once I have all symbols at an adequate size, I save, The next time I open the file, many of the symbols will change again and I have to go through the same process. This is very frustrating when I have to go back and make a small change in a part, perhaps, move a sign for clarity,

Best regards,
Don
