Tremolo between two notes is shows on one note.
When I add a tremolo to two quarter notes, it appears on the stem of the second. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Please will you attach a screenshot of the problem.
Also MuseScore version and computer OS would be helpful

also be useful if you can describe the exact steps you used to get this result.
I'm sorry, I forgot to attach the file; here it is.
I entered two quarter notes and added the tremolo that says "2 between notes" to the first quarter note.
It happens on both Linux Mint Debian Edition and Vista with Musescore 1.1.
By the way, I can't believe I actually wrote "is shows". :P

Adding a few extra bars and increasing stretch reveal that it is in fact in between the notes, however the spacing was such that it was forced over the second down stem.
More disturbingly, the same problem I encountered while playing with this earlier has manifested itself - adding the tremolo has turned the crotchets into minims, so consequently you now have 4 beats in a bar of 2/4!
Guess I should file an issue, but will wait till the morning.

I'm pretty sure that's deliberate. At least, that is a common style of notation - to show a tremolo between both notes with each note notated at full value.

It seems that is the case :)
Don't come across tremelos very often in my field.
