change default text on glissando - how ??
I cant figure out how to change the default text on a glissando.
Ive created custom workspace.
I go to gliss in it, right click, see properties, and also "more elements."
But nowhere I can find does it list/give the property for the text.
Where should I look?
Oh yes, I am on 2.0.2
THX.

@dpenny, this way?

also not an answer. This changes the gliss selected.
I said to change the default text, not a specific instance.
Any other answers?

I think the only workaround, if you want to change the content of the text, is to use the suggestion of shoichi. Maybe if you've more glissando elements in your score via right click -> select -> all similar elements before.

to save a custom glissando there is the option https://musescore.org/en/handbook/custom-palettes

This does indeed work - create the gliss the way you want, add it to a custom palette, now you can add that to any score you want and it will have the desired text.

What you do is update one instance of the glissando in your score with your new text. You can update the text in the inspector when you select the glissando line. Then, following the instructions in the handbook for custom palettes (link, see a previous comment), you press Ctrl-shift and drag your new glissando back to your custom palette, into one of the free boxes in the "Arpeggios & Glissandi" for instance.

Andreas, thanks - you are a genius. I never would have figured that out from the previous posts.
THX also to others for trying.

FWIW, this response should have helped, if you actually read the Handbook section it suggested:

That Handbook article is a more detailed explanation of the process, and in my post I confirmed that this was exactly the section of the Handbook to read. If you read that and still weren't able to figure it out, feel free to suggest (or make) improvements to the Handbook to make it clearer.

Marc - thx for suggestion, I never knew I could "edit" handbook. I just added a parenthetical phrase under "custom palette". Please correct it if I am in error.

Looks fine, it's basically just repeating exactly what it says in the next section.
