Measure Properties: "Visible" cannot be unchecked
I'd like to cause a gap at the end of a system. A horizontal frame would be great if they could be put at the end of a system, but they cannot. I tried inserting a blank (or any) measure at the end of the system, then right-clicking on it to access the measure properties. "Visible" is checked but grayed out so it cannot be unchecked. How do I achieve this layout?

A horizontal frame is the answer as in this score;

There is a trick to adding a horizontal frame at the end of a system. As I recall, you do it by inserting it before the first measure of the next system, then deleting the system break, then selecting the frame and adding the break.

Thanks to both respondents. These procedures work fully to produce the result I was looking for. I wouldn't even call it a work-around; just the way horizontal frames must be manipulated. I can now complete my migration from Finale to MS.
