Plugins not available
Hi Folks,
I've downloaded the ColourVoice and Blacknotes plugins, and have saved them to the plugin directory of Musescore on my hardrive (changing the. txt ending to .js as necessary). They seem to be fine - are present in the directory and have been allocated a Jscript icon. BUT... when I go into Musescore they do not appear in the list of plugins so I'm unable to use them. Can anyone help? I'm using a PC, Windows7, and am running the current version (1.1).

Yes, I did restart my computer (several times) but to no effect.
I don't know if this might help with diagnostics, but in Windows File Explorer, if I double-click on blacknotes.js nothing happens (which is exactly the same as happens for all the pre-loaded plugins that are working). However, if I double-click on colourvoices.js I receive a Windows Scrip Host error: "Line 30, Char 1, Error: 'QColour' is undefined, Code 800A1391, Source Microsoft JScript runntime error". This perhaps suggests there is a problem with the ColourVoices plugin, but doesn't explain why BlackNotes doesn't work either.
One other thing that occurred to me was that in the past I have had some trouble downloading files when I'm not connected to my work network and have had some errors saying that I do not have administrator privleges to modify program files. However, I checked this with my IT staff in the past and they made sure I have administrator rights on my own machine. Given that I manage to download and save the Plugin files to the correct directory I assume this can't be the problem?
I'm a bit lost...

The fact that blacknotes etc dont do anything when clicked and colorvoices gives an error is because they can not be run 'free-standing'. In fact they are running under the Windows Based Script Host but dont do anything. The 'QColor undefined' message is because QColor is a function provided in musescore and Script Host does not have that function and so gives an error.
So that is a red herring!
As I understand it musescore will load all .js (and .ui) files that are found in the plugin folder. Mine all work fine and I'm constantly adding and removing my own plugins.
The fact that you get the above error does imply that your priveges are ok.
