Polyphone SFZ -> SF2 Conversion
Although I see that some have posted about this free software already (http://polyphone.fr/), I wanted to clarify that this thing, besides creating soundfonts, can do a quick conversion from an .SFZ into an .SF2 file by simply opening an .SFZ and then saving as an .SF2. From what I've read, the main SFZ file that Musescore "officially" supports is the Salamander Grand. Apparently this has to do with the limited functionality of SFZ implementation within the Zerberus player. At any rate, what I'm practically saying is that if you have an SFZ that doesn't play well, maybe give this Polyphone program a go and convert your .SFZ to an .SF2 to see if it works in Musescore.

SFZ is a lot more expressive than SF2, so you will loose some quality in the process. Next version of MuseScore (2.1) will have a greater support of the SFZ format.

That sounds good to me.
I just downloaded soundfont Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra from here[1]. To be exactly it's this one [2], if you follow the link "SFZ format". The font consists of several files. I've uncompressed all the files into the directory %User%\Documents\Musescore3\Soundfonts, too.
But whatever menu I try (synthesizer, mixer etc.) I can't find a decent file dialog to open one of these fonts.
I'm willing to read it by myself, but couldn't find some information for this.
Do you already use v3?
Could you please give a little support to me?
Thank you so far.

Sounds like maybe you forgot to click the Zerberus tab in View / Synthesizer? If that doesn't answer your question, please re-read the "Soundfonts" section of the Handbook and let us know exactly where things seem to be going wrong

Hi Marc,
I downloaded the Versilian Studios soundfont (SFZ format with multiple wave files per instrument) and when clicking the Zerberus tab > Add I get a drop down menu with all the individual SFZ wave files from the VSCO soundfont. I select them all (even tried just one), click load, but the instrument sounds do not change nor is there an option to set all the current SFZ's as default. I tried multiple times using 'Save to Score' etc but no luck.
Are there any additional instructions for properly loading an SFZ soundfont or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Robbie

As explained in the Handbook under Soundfonts, to use specific sounds from non=default soundfonts, you need to select them in View / Mixer.

Musescore 3 is not letting put in this SFZ file. It's a slap bass I have found for free. Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CnWHe1Zy3s&t=14s

Sounds like you are sayng you are encountering some sort of problem? If so, please give precise steps to reproduce it - tell us exactly what you are doing and at which step something goes wrong - what you expect to see happen at that step, and what happens instead.
