Audio stopped working even after upgrading to 2.0.3

Looks like MuseScore stopped outputting audio when I ;play my midi files.

The blue cursor moves and the notes highlight but no sound comes out.
I know my headphones and sound board work, because I can go into other programs and play midi files.

When I go to View >Play Panel, it shows volume is at 50% so I should be able to hear something, and same on Synthesizer it shows volume bar half way up.

So I tried to upgrade to 2.0.03, and it still doe sit.

I have seen other people in the past post this issue and that resetting for them, and reloading the software did not help.

What else can I do?

Thanks, I followed your advise and read that link, and although it showed the synthesizer in the window and looked like nothing was wrong, it still did not play audio, so I went to

Help > Revert to factory settings,

and reloaded MuseScore, and it worked!
