Shrink MuseScore desktop page size
I need an audio file open beside MuseScore in order to listen and notate efficiently. Clicking the reduce-page icon has no effect - same with trying to reduce manually. I hope that feature is available.
Thank you.

It could be your OS?
Have you tried: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings ?
Once you have checked the "reduce page" icon, you can select an edge of the window and move it. On my WIN machine, the cursor appears as arrows in opposite direction when I hover over the edge.
Not sure what you mean about a "reduce page" icon - there is no such icon. So I'm not sure what you are pressing. It sounds like you want to change the view scaling so the score shows at smaller than actual size. There is a drop-down menu for this, not an icon. By default it would normally say 100%. Simply select a different scaling from that menu.

That is also what I understand.

Ok, but that doesn't reduce the *page* size, just the *window* size. Same as pretty much every other program. So if that is what is meant, then indeed, after shrinking the window using that method, you still need to scale the view as I described, if the goal is to see the full page but smaller, which is what I understood.
