part names on second page of PDF
Dear forum,
I am new to musescore and I have to say it's a huge relief after switching from noteedit. Thank you to all developers!
I created an arrangement for wood quintet and extracted the single parts with the help of the manual. It worked quite nicely. My question is: the part name, e.g., bassoon is printed at the left top of the first page. Is there a way to repeat the part name on subsequent pages?
In the PDF version of the musescore manual, I didn't find any entry on "header" or "footer".
I found this post in the forum: //musescore.org/en/node/4528
But in Style > Edit General Style I don't see "Header, Footer, Number", just "Numbers". I am using version 1.1 so I can use the Ubuntu 10.04 repository.
I also found this, using Create > Text > Copyright: //musescore.org/en/node/12402
And this is what I will now do by hand for the individual parts if there is no automatic way of including a footer containing the instrument name. Is there such an automatic header/footer feature in version 1.2?

First of all the bad news....
There is no automatic Header or Footer feasible in MuseScore 1.2 :(
The good news is....
It has been implemented in the upcoming version 2,0 scheduled for release later this year (or maybe early next).
If you want to check it out feel free to try out the unstable Nightly Builds available from the Download page, but make sure you recognise all the caveats about using an unstable release.

There are indeed a lot of people involved with the MuseScore project, 250+ to be precise, involved with translating, documenting, plugin coding, making video tutorials (wink ;), bug hunting and fixing, design, etc.
