How to add a second voice above triplets composed of sixteenth notes?
the score is a Piano + Voice score where the left hand is playing triplets, but I am trying to add a voice above the the beginning of 2 of the triplets(composed of the same notes so the note would be have two stems: one going up and the other down. For an example of this see this image: https://sheetmusic.pianoshelf.com/sheetmusicimg/Rachmaninoff-Six-moment…). However, musescore is not letting me do that. Any thoughts as to why it's not letting me?

Triplets are per voice.
1. Switch to another voice,
2. Add another triplet,
3. Insert contrary-stemmed note.
4. Make invisible the secondary triplet symbol.
If this is not understood, upload the score or a partial derivative for further assistance.

For voices, see:

For tuplets (e.g. triplets), see:

For a voice above triplets composed of sixteenth notes, with a same note having two stems (up and down) see attachment.

And you can look at the triplet symbol in the inspector by itself and tell the triplet to who no bracket and no number.
