Save as uses non-native dialog in Windows (regression)
- Create a new score
- File > Save As
Expected behavior: See "native dialog.png" attached below. This is the dialog that appears for File > Save As in r.1833 for Windows.
Actual behavior: See "non-native dialog.png" attached below. This is the dialog that appears for File > Save As and File Save a Copy in r.1841 for Windows. Besides the different appearance, some of the functionality of native dialog is missing such as the normal contents of the context menu when you right click on a file.
Comments
fixed in rev. 1851. Code was changed to use the qt native file dialog in an attempt to fix the "save as" bug on ubuntu.
For windows this change is now reverted.
Windows still has a non-native dialog in r.1852 (self built, Windows XP) so this change is not properly reverted.
As far as I understand is not possible to create a native window filedialog except if you use QFileDialog static function.
See : http://lists.trolltech.com/pipermail/qt-interest/2009-April/005839.html
Revert to using static function is quite big...
There is a non native dialog for save as and save a copy, but the save button (also found in the file menu) shows the native windows dialog.
My system:
-Windows XP, Media Center Edition
-Muse Score Revision 1944
The non native dialog looks a lot like the KDE dialog. On a windows machine, it makes more sense to use a windows native save dialog.
