bass line
when I'm writing music for my drumline I'd like to just have a slash covering about 3 lines of the staff denoting that all bases play that rhythm as opposed to having to write out every single basses line

See the Handbook under "Tools", the section on slash notation (or just experiment with Edit / Tools / Toggle Rhythmic Slash Notation).
