live recordings

I've looked around and didn't see threads about this: it would be great if musescore could insert a .wav or .mp3 or other recording type into a score. It seems like some of the framework for this may already be in place with the "videoscores."

I'm correct in assuming musescore can't do this currently, right?

I don't see where this is a good use for Musescore. Just how would you make the recording and the Musescore output match so it didn't sound like what it is - a piece fromj a different place stuck into the middle of something else.

I would say say a DAW program is where this should be done so the piece sounds homogeneous. The primary function of Musescore is notation not sound editing.

Unfortunately this is not possible yet with MuseScore. Actually, be critical when you check out any software which advertises to convert wav to sheet music. Make sure you test with a trial version before spending money.
