Double stems
I'm studying 4 part harmony. Some times two voices land on the same note. I can usually kludge a way to make the necessary double stem but NEVER on middle C. I need to have a C in both treble and bass clef.
Any help?

Short answer:
In current versions, the ledger-lines can not be moved up and down with the note.
For this reason it is not possible to do what you want under normal conditions.

Detailed answer:
I know these are not the answer to your problem. But please take the time to read it.:
4 part harmony is usually written in SATB templates and no part need to be merged anywhere.
It is not clear what kind of template you are using in your question.
I guess: do you use grand staff? (Pianoforte) Left hand for Bass and Tenor and Right hand for Alto and Soprano?
Nevertheless: I do not think it is necessary to unite the notes in the middle so that each part can be clearly seen.
You also can not use Cross Staff. Because alto and tenor parts should not occupy each other's space.
