Choice of what to copy/paste
At the moment, if a chordname is attached to a note in either the top orbottom stave of a piano staff, selecting the notes in that bar for copy always includes the chordname.
I would find it useful to be able to choose whether to include the chordnames or not, as sometime I want a phrase which I willthen manipulate to a different key.
Alternatively, if one pastes a phrase containing a note name, the chordname could transpose as does the note.

I agree this would be a useful feature.
With regards to a preferred implementation: Edit > Copy should always copy all the information but a new menu item Edit > Paste Special... should give you options about what to paste, such as pasting notes without chordnames, lyrics, staff/system text, articulations and other palette items, etc. Even though this is not how Finale and Sibelius work it is how Microsoft Word, Inkscape, Mozilla Thunderbird, and most other applications that offer a modified copy-paste. The reason I like it better is you don't have to recopy a selection if you want to paste several times with different forms of paste. Also Finale's method means you have to change the copy preferences before the copy and then change the preferences back after you finish making that particular copy-paste.

I think Melody/Harmony assistant are giving this kind of features. I will take a look and report.
