NumPad does not work in 2.1 version
I am using Ubuntu 17.04 and Musescore 2.1
(AppImage portable version, x86_64, Intel core i3 2nd gen.)
Numeric keys on the above of a keyboard do change the notes such as 4th, 8th and 16th.
But, the numeric keys in the NumPad on the right side do not change the notes...
I also tried in the both conditions of numlock on and off. Numpad does work Neither.

I don't know if there's already a distribution package for Ubuntu, maybe there shortcuts via numpad will work.

I said that I am using AppImage package. You can find it from the below link.

Yes, i'm aware, it doesn't work with the AppImage package, see the mentioned bug report.
For OpenSuse Leap it doesn't work with the AppImage, but it works with the distribution package.
So if it's important for you and while it isn't fix in the AppImage, maybe you could look, if there is a distribution package and check whether shortcuts via numpad work there.
Note: No, it seems the ppa for Ubuntu isn't yet ready at moment.
