Silent Notes

All I've been able to find on this is from 2014 or earlier and doesn't seem to work for Musescore 2. I'm trying to write shushing into a score. I'm just putting in a note at middle B and changing the head, but I can't find a way to make it so on playback the instrument is silent and doesn't play B. I am running Musescore 2 on a Mac.
