Improve icons for MuseScore Portable
I read #20038 Create installer artwork and think maybe we could improve the icons for MuseScore Portable as well.
I did them once based on the MuseScore Logo, but I'm not a graphic designer. At the moment they are not really sharp for me ;-).
What's needed?
Three PNG icons (16x16, 32x32 and 128x128) and an ICO file.
Detailed informations see http://portableapps.com/development/portableapps.com_format#icons .
Thanks in advance for your help.

If there is some interest to associate MSCZ and MSCX files to MuseScore Portable (when using the PortableApps.com Platform), we could create similar icons or use the MuseScore Logo as well.
Note: The file associations feature isn't implemented in the platform yet, but it's on the roadmap.
Hey! good idea.
You might be interested to know that we are working on MuseScore 1.3, should be ready in the next days. See http://dev-list.musescore.org/Preparing-the-release-of-MuseScore-1-3-td…
You can get an ico file here
And here is one for MuseScore files
Here are 3 PNGs... Maybe we can do better?
Thanks for the pointers. :-)
The *.ico files don't contain all required 7 formats though.
In my opinion the 128x128 version is ok, but the smaller ones aren't that sharp. Especially the 16x16 version is pixelated (or my monitor or eyes are too bad). ;-)
If it is useful
is available in portable version, IcoFX

Give me until tomorrow to deliver them. Thanks for your patience.
For the 16x16 the favicon of musescore.org is not bad no?
Where can I find this favicon?
@BartS we are working on a better version of the small PNG and the icons. It will be available in MuseScore 1.3 and I will let you know here when it's ready.
That sounds good. :-)
I see MuseScore 1.3 has been released. Any new pointers to icons?
You can find the 16x16 ico in the svn. I derived a png from it and attached it.
The others are attached to comment #2.
Ok, I changed the 16x16 layers in my ico file and added a 16x16 png with more rounded corners.
But I still agree with lasconic: "Maybe we can do better?"
Nevertheless MuseScore Portable 1.3 has been released:
http://portableapps.com/news/2013-02-28--musescore-portable-1.3-released
All graphics could be found inside the folder 'MuseScore Portable\App\AppInfo' and subfolders, if anyone wants to improve it.
There is room for huge improvements. My personal goal for 2.0 is to get a full time designer on board. With good design, MuseScore 2.0 will shine so much more.
Thanks Bart for creating the portable package. Give me a couple of hours to change the download link as I'm remote for the moment.
