8va Sign Problem

Hi,
I am new to Musesocre and I am having trouble with the 8va sign. When I press the play button, only the measure that I inserted a 8va sign is played an octave higher and doesn't carry all the way through where I stretched the sign. Is there anyway to make multiple measure played an octave higher without using more than one 8va sign?

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

You most likely extended the sign by dragging the end of it. Instead, double click the octave and use shift/arrow key to move the end point to where you want it.
