I donated 20$ in June by PayPal. However, this does not show up in the PayPal donation list of my account.
If I decide to go for a PRO in musescore.org (49$ a year) does this money go into the same pot as it does if I simply donate?

I suspect you are talking about musescore.com. That's a different website (although related) from this one.

Of course I meant *.com.
So the $49 would not help to develop the software actually?

Is it possible you donated back in June while not being authenticated on the site? Could you tell us when exactly you donated so we can find the reference.
Donations are used to sustain the general MuseScore development infrastructure. Pro Account purchases are used to financially support the three full time MuseScore developers (Werner, Nicolas, Thomas) and the development of the .com web and mobile service.
