Note Up events ignored during Real Time Note Input
I decided to try out the Real Time Note Input for the first time and got some weird results. As I tapped notes - and even though I only held them down for a short time - they none the less kept snowballing onto a single sustained chord. The note entry tool seemed to be completely ignoring my releasing of the keys (even though the playback on the speakers did reflect my releasing of the keys).
Even when I exit note entry mode by pressing N or Esc and then reenter note entry mode, all of the pitches I entered previously are remembered. I start with the giant cluster chord of everything I entered previously and it just keeps growing. Only exiting Musescore and restarting seems to clear the memory of the pitches.
This happens when using the virtual piano keyboard too, so I don't think this is specific to my MIDI input device.
I've also noticed that if I use the Real Time mode and then switch back to the default Step Time, and then use the MIDI keyboard to enter a note while in Step Time, the Real Time entry mode automatically starts up.
I am using Musescore 2.1.0 revision 871c8ce on Windows 7 and with an Akai LPK25 keyboard.

Are you using the "Automatic" or "Manual" real time mode? If the former, are you starting the metronome? If the latter, are you tapping the foot pedal or otherwise specifiying the beat? See for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SanyFSOI-Xs

Well, the problem seems to have gone away. I'm really not sure what happened, because all I did was leave my computer alone for a few hours and then switch to manual mode and then try using the 'Enter' button as the pedal (as per the video).
I had been using automatic mode, and that seems to be working now too. Not sure what was going wrong.
