Easiest Way To Transcribe from Sheet-Music Score
Ultimate goal is to transcribe a clarinet score from sheet music so I can transPOSE its key using MuseScore. Is there a better way to do the transcription than simply keying each note? I thought someone might have an easier method for copying from sheet music. If not, MS is still the best. Thanks. JHJ

If your score is in a .pdf file you can try this:

However, the .pdf must be derived from a score notation program rather than, say, a .jpeg image for PDFtoMusic Pro to produce results.
Otherwise, see:

I have tried PDFtoMusicPro - I spent more time sorting out the problems caused by the MusicXML it produces than I would have done inputting the score from scratch,

Thanks ChurchOrganist ! My experience with MuseScore has resulted in considerable skill such that manual entry is not bad at all. A scanning solution would have to be pretty remarkable to improve on what I can do now. I was just hoping for additional techniques that would enhance the entry. I think MuseScore is just wonderful. Best of luck! JHJ
