Different rhythms in one voice

Four-part SATB chord dotted quarter note in 6/8 time in Grand Staff Format. Tenor part has slightly different rhythm: quarter to eighth. How can I separate the tenor and bass line to configure this one difference or do I have to write it out in Four-part SATB format instead???
