Page vs. Continuous views, spacing different
For the attached score, in page view I increased the spacing between guitar notation and tab staves so the fret-board chord diagrams wouldn't overlap the lowest notes on the notation staff above. I did this in tab staff properties by setting the extra space to 3.00. But when I switch to Continuous view the extra spacing isn't there and the chord diagrams overlap notes above. I can increase the the setting to 5.00 in the continuous view and get extra spacing, but then in the page view it becomes a bit too much. Seems the spacing should be the same in both views.

It is normal that continuous and page views will have different spacing. For one thing, in page view, measures are stretched automatically so that each system fills to the width of the page, but this does not happen in continuous view because there are no systems or pages (well, one of each I guess, but the width is flexible). Also things like placement of frames etc will differ. Furthermore, when it comes to vertical spacing, consider that many adjustments made in page view will be to avoid things in other systems, and this won't be relevant in continuous view. So it's not reasonable to do manual adjustments in continuous view and expect it to make sense in page view, or vice versa.
That said, I think what is going on here is that in page view, MuseScore automatically adds extra space for fret diagrams, albeit perhaps not as much as you want here. It does not do this in continuous view because as noted above, often the whole reason this extra space is needed is to avoid other systems, and that isn't relevant. But in this particular case, the reason is to avoid other staves in the same system, so probably we should be allocating that extra space.
The Continuous view is very useful for when you start entering notes, and for some other (late) fixes that are not affect to page layout.
However, since this section doesn't contain the actual size of the page, the settings associated with the page layout you will make here may not reflect the actual appearance. (This may change in future releases).
