Follow-Along Notes In a Part to Show Another Part's Notes.
Does anybody know how I would show, say, the notes in a piano part on the violin part in a duet so that the violinist can follow along? I am trying to put together a violin part for a piece, and need to show some of the notes of the piano part while the violin rests. Anyone got any ideas?

It's hard to know what you really want from you description. Can you be more specific?

I want to essentially add cue notes in the violin part for when to come in after a lot of rests.

Then just copy the notes in normally - no need for multiple voices. You can then either use the aofrementioned plugin to set the notes small and silent, or you can do this manually by selecting the notes, right clicking, and using Note Properties.
If you have lots of rests for one part and wish to 'cue' that particular instrument when to chime in again, see:

Cue notes are sometimes added to multi-measure rests immediately preceding the re-entry of an instrumentalist.
The note heads on cue notes are smaller, so they can be distinguished from notes which are to be played.
Depending on how long the multi-measure rest might be, the cue notes can also serve as a 'wake up call' to the instrumentalist. :-)
Regards.
