Beams
I'm having a problem with getting beams for quavers as I would like them.
I have a run of 4 quavers and when I entered them, they were beamed together. I can split them into single quavers without a problem (using the 3rd option in Beam Properties). What I need are the 4 quavers beamed in 2 sets of two.
I have highlighted the first 2 quavers and used the 2nd option of Beam Properties and it beams the 2 quavers together and gives exactly what I want. However, when I do that to quavers 3 and 4, it doesn't beam quavers 3 and 4 together but beams quavers 1,2,3 & 4 together.
How can I get 4 quavers beamed into 2 sets of 2?
You'll see what I mean if you look at bars 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 & 22 of the attached.

I selected the four notes and I connected them (from the palette);
I selected the third of each group and I separated them (as above).
I can not say more to you
correct: select the third note and uses the first symbol in the palette ;-)

Many thanks, I had tried various combinations of the three palette options but I had always highlighted the two notes 3&4 didn't think to try just note 3.
Worked perfectly and the music looks far better for it.
Many thanks again for your input.
