How to hide (i.e. not print) a single measure
Hello
I'm using wood blocks to simulate a metronome for when exporting as MIDI or MP3, for the purpose of choir practice. For this reason I usually add one or two empty measures at the start of the song to give the singers an idea of the tempo and to help them start on the right note. I hide the wood blocks bar, but it is active and does play. However, the two extra measures don't have to be there when printing the score. Is there a way to hide these measures so that they do play but don't print (and don't create a large empty space at the start of the score?
Thanks
Samuel

You can right click the measure, select Measure Properties and remove the check from Visible in all the instruments.

Thanks, but this creates a large gap at the point where the measure was. What I was hoping for is that the two measures on either side of a hidden measure would magically join up with each other as if there is measure at that point. I don't want a gap.

You can insert an horizontal frame and edit it to the left to avoid this gap.
See attached file.
It may seem complicated at first, but it isn't.
There may be other options as well.
