Now I have a line that won't go away!
This line just came from nowhere and is completely stuck! What the heck?

Best guess is there is a lyric syllable before and after it somewhere. Select the syllable before it, move to the end of the word and press the space bar and it should go away, otherwise attach your score.
Can you attach the score?

Yes I can remove all the words there and the line goes away. But as soon as I try writing it again, it comes back! It shouldn't be there, it's not even in the right vertical place.
It's all about bar 31 - the three lyric rows. On the third row is where the line appears when I try to fill in those lyrics. I see no reason why it's there, it doesn't belong to anything! It seems that it can't be selected/edited.

Did you perhaps re-upload the score since posting this? I don't see any problem. but indeed, almost certainly it's something in that verse in another measure where you never completed the word or something like that.
In the future, better to attach your samples scores directly to your post (use "File attachments" link right below where you type your post) than to link to what may or may not still be the relevant score on musescore.com.

I really couldn't see anything that would cause a line like that. I closed the project though, and when I opened it, the line was gone.
