Over the last 2 days, I have been dealing with a rather frustrating issue. All my pieces, either composed or edited from the last three months, have vanished. Any trace of editing- gone. An entire choir piece- gone. Nowhere to be found.
I tried saving a newly composed piece today, closed the program, and tried to reopen the piece just to test the program. Upon reopening MuseScore, I was unable to retrieve the piece.
I wouldn't be so concerned if it weren't for the fact that I am an active composer and I have a composition recital coming up. If this continues to be a problem, I may have to switch programs out of desperation.

PLEASE. SEND. HELP.

I understand your frustration. The most likely explanation is that you saved these files to a folder other than the one you are looking in. hard to say more without more info, such as what version of MuseScore, what OS, what folder you think you saved to, what folder you are currently trying to open them from, whether MuseScore or your computer crashed at some point while working, whether you chose to recover your last session, whether you did a "Save As" after recovering, etc.

First step is to use your OS's search facility (e.g., within Windows Explorer, or macOS Finder) to look for all MSCZ files. Probably it will turn up there. If you need further assistance though, please ask for help in the Support forum (Help / Ask for Help, from within MuseScore) rather than using the bug report mechanism.
