Piano causes clicking/lagging

Whenever I use the playback in a score with a piano track, there are weird clicking noises and the playback lags a bit. I know some people have brought up issues with lag in general but for me it only happens with the piano—and only in the desktop app, it fixes itself when uploaded, but it only started happening when I downloaded the latest update (2.2.1).
