Midi import rhythms
I'm importing a song from a .mid file into a score, and there's a drum part with basic eighth note triplets that MuseScore is notating very unnecessarily complicated. It wants to write a sixteenth note followed by a 32nd note triplet with only the 2nd partial then a sixteenth note triplet with only the third partial. This lines up with a regular eighth note triplet, so the sound plays back the same way, but I don't want this cluttered notation all over the score. I can just rewrite the notes as triplets, but then each note loses its individual dynamics that were transferred from the midi. I like to copy and paste notes from midi files because each note has its own dynamic value.
TLDR: i want to clean up my score but i can't copy paste into triplets

If you attach your MIDI file we can better understand and assist. Depending on how precisely the triplet was quantized in the MIDI file itself, it may or may not be possible to get MuseScore to recognize it as such by adjusting parameters in the MIDI import panel.

In order to really understand and assist, we'd need the MIDI file. Then we would be able to see how the notes are actually quantized and whether different import settings would help.

I tried playing around with the quantization and tuplet settings in the MIDI import panel but did not succeed in getting those to recognize as simple triplets. I think they might be just a little far away from metrically precise for that - they seem a bit rushed to me? Could be my imagination. Hopefully someone with access to a sequencer can check the timings more precisely. How was this recorded? Was it output from another notation program, sequenced in, played live, or what?
