Metronome first beat with a different sound
I have been using Musescore as an electronic music sheet and have the metronome turn on. I am a new piano learner. I play my organ as Musescore plays the score on the monitor on top of my organ. My piano teacher often told me that I played on the wrong beat. I thought it would be nice to have the first beat sound a little different from the rest of the beat. That is the first beat of each measure would be, let's say, a little louder or a different tone would be nice. Like for a 4/4 would be Tick, Tat, Tat, Tat, Tick, Tat, Tat, Tat...etc.
Thanks.

I don't use it a lot, but I've notice a different sound on the first beat of measures with the metronome. Perhaps if you mute everything else you will also hear it, and get used to it.
Also...
If you activate the count-in feature of the metronome, you will clearly hear the 'Tick, Tat, Tat, Tat' for a full measure before the score's playback commences. Thus you can more easily 'jump in' on the proper beat.
See:

If you wish to turn up the metronome volume, see:

When I make MIDI rehearsal files for our choir, I often add a percussion staff. Here I can add different sounds to the beats.
You only need to do it for one measure and then use R to repeat it.
