Any score with another part (or parts) will ignore the tempo, especially if the score comes from Musescore 2.

I could not reproduce in a score I created from scratch but can with this one. Not sure what the difference is, could be something about the invisible tempo markings at the end and extra clef right before them?

Here's one for comparison that works fine.
