Musescore 3.0.2: Writing workspace file failed (in Preferences/when exiting)
Not sure what more details I can/should provide, but since updating to 3.0.2 I've been seeing this error every time I apply a change in Preferences, and when I exit the program. I'm not too sure what the significance of it is, either. Reproduced on two Windows 10 computers.
Version: 3.0.2.5312

OS: Windows 10

If what you say is true, I suspect you have a virus. I think it's more likely you posted the wrong picture.

I get the error when I make a change in preferences, then try to exit preferences. I also get the error when I try to switch between the 'Basic' and 'Advanced' palettes. It will still switch palettes though, it just changes the name of the file in the error message

Well isn't that embarrassing. Fixed, the image is the same as in the other posts.
I just updated to Musescore 3 today (or is it a brand new separate program? I'll have to check if 2 is still on my computer) and I've experienced this same problem at nearly every step when it comes to preferences, plugins manager and resource manager... also I chose Advanced during the initial setup but when the error first happened, after closing the program the first time and restarting, it reverted to basic I think.

I can verify this. I'll enter the highest priority bug report and make sure the programmers see it. Refrain from updating your preferences until the next update.

Thanks for the update, I'll stay posted.
Looking at the issue right now. Something is wrong with read/write rights. Anyway, temporary workaround is to Run MuseScore with the Administrator rights.
Confirmed this issue with Windows 10 Pro 1809 build and musescore 3.02.5312
(OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.2.5312, revision: 8ca4d2c)
Workaround: give modify permission to C:\Program Files\MuseScore 3\workspaces folder for users
Fixed in MuseScore 3.0.2.5315 HotFix release. The new version is available in the autoupdater.
