Can't delete lines (hairpins, slurs, etc..) while editing them.
Extremely minor quality of life feature, say I accidentally double clicked on a line and got the handles to change the length/shape, it would be nice to still press delete to remove the item without having to deselect it, single click on it and then delete. The object is still selected why is delete suddenly unavailable?

I suppose that would be possible, but much simpler is to just press Esc to leave edit mode, rather than deseslecting and selecting again.

I'll try that from now on. But I should say far less obvious from a user point of view. As I say, very minor. But do it a thousand times and it adds up.

FWIW, Esc performs a similar function in most other programs as well, that's a big part of why there is a dedicated key for this. So it shouldn't be that hard to discover. Meanwhile, though, feel free to file an issue issue (Severity = Suggestion) in the tracker for the ability to press delete while in Edit mode.

Thanks, done. Not to say esc isn't an entirely logical button for escaping a mode, but I should point out that natural inclination is to realize what is going on, and do what I did, click away and re-select, thereby never allowing themselves the opportunity to discover the esc key, until someone more familiar points it out. And it's still another keystroke when one should suffice.

Suggestion is #284222: Ability to delete items while in edit mode, to automatically link it to here.
