grand staff dynamics
It does not appear possible to have different dynamic markings in the upper and lower staves in the grand staff at the same time, e.g., for piano. I tried this and the lower (bass clef) dynamic marking takes precedence. I looked through the manual but did not find how to make this happen. If I am correct, this feature needs to be added to MuseScore.

Open Inspector, set to Staff?
It is possible. change the Dynamic range from part (the entire piano) to staff (the staff where you apply the dynamic) in the inspector (F8). This works in all versions 2.x and later.
