Play Panel missing and no note sounds

This was all well and good a few weeks prior, with the play panel being there and the playback actually working. Recently though, this has been flipped over. The notes sounds are not coming through, and there is no playback. Although, I do think it has to do with the grayed out playback controls. I believed I tried just about everything to try and fix this; Factory Reset, Uninstalling and Reinstalling, etc. Can someone help me out here?
