[SOLVED] [Tools/Explode] Select top or bottom note in chords pan-score in order to move to separate voice
Via a MIDI keyboard it is quick and easy to enter 3 or 4 voices simultaneously in chords placed in a single voice e.g. voice 1.
It is possible to manually click-select the bottom note in each chord and transfer to e.g. voice 4.
Via a single selection [same voice][bottom note] this could be done very quickly. Similarly [same voice][top note]
After that manual alterations/manipulations to each voice individually can be done and you have a quick 4-voice arrangement.

I think Explode function is great but actually it would be great to have a more simple tool to handle range of notes within the same voice e.i. all upper notes in the selected chords/measures. Actually when I tried to do it by manually selecting the noteheads through CTRL, i could cut them out of the chords this way, but when I tried to paste it somewhere else it did nothing. Am I missing something? It is a rather common scenario, at least for me. For example, what if you don't want to separate the entire chord but just quickly copy out a bunch of root notes and paste them into the bass line? Doing this with explode is a little bit like driving a truck into a backyard to deliver a pizza.

Perhaps https://musescore.org/project/prunestack can be of use to you then?
The approach there would be to do a full copy, then prune the on the destination staff.
