starting

I am having problems with starting up Musescore3. If I just click to open it I get a box saying 'previous session ended unexpectedly' but, whether I click to restore previous session or to start a new one, Musescore opens very briefly then disappears immediately.

I am able to work on existing files by selecting them in File Explorer. But when I close the selected file Musescore is greyed out and not functioning.

Is there something I need to do or is it being sorted in the next update?
