Project
Start with two staves (e.g. grand piano).
1. Add two beamed eighth notes (e.g. D, E) in voice 1 in the upper staff.
2. Add two beamed eighth notes just below (e.g. C, D) in voice 2 in the upper staff, concurrent to the first two notes.
3. Move the last added note (D in voice 2) to the lower staff using cross-staff notation.
The spacing of the first two concurrent notes (C, D) will automatically change so the notes overlap instead of being offset from each other.
Workaround: manually adjust Chord Offset X.
